Great Day for a 5K

Morning clouds and rain gave way to sunshine just in time for today's fifth annual Run for Respect 5K race at NC State University's Centennial Campus. I ran along with my coworker Stacee Lassiter and her husband's uncle Dennis. This was Stacee's first 5K, and we finished in an unofficial time of 33 minutes 12 seconds. My roommate Alex and his dad smoked us, finishing in roughly 22 and 23 minutes respectively. I also won a post-race door prize drawing for $5 in gift certificates from Bojangles. Somehow it doesn't seem right to win a gift certificate from Bojangles after running a 5K.
